Help! My orchid will not bloom ?

The long stem that held my orchid I made a mistake and cut it back. Now the leaves are healthy but nothing is growing up like anything that looks like a stem. What advice can you give me to make it bloom? My husband thinks stop watering it and it will go into panic mode, does that make any sense?

You need to make sure that it's not planted in soil, and instead planted in wood chips or orchid chips. I'd try first analyzing the roots and pruning off any rot, replant it and start using orchid food with high nitrogen content.

It is not uncommon for an orchid to not bloom for 1-2 yrs if it's not receiving exactly the right conditions.

(and they like A LOT of humidity!)
Reply:I would call a local nursery...
Reply:use bloom booster get it at any nursery
Reply:no....... but it will grow soon, or its the conditions like the weather may have something to do with it.
