How to I take care of an Orchid in South Florida?

It's inside with some sunlight and I give it a couple squirts of water and orchid food every couple days but it's still wilting like crazy. HELP! It was a gift and I really don't want to kill it! Thank you!....yea and it's real real hot outside!

You need to find out the name of your orchid. VERY important.

Not all need sunlight, in fact most need no sunlight. After you find the name, type it in google.com You are going to be very surprised at what your orchid does not need. :o)
Reply:Squirts won't get it !! - and you are probably overfertilizing it if you indeed feed it every couple of days.

Determine the type of orchid you have and take proper care.
Reply:Hang it outside under a shady tree if it is in a basket. Or put the pot in a shady spot. Give it a good watering once a week, and feed monthly. You are killing it with kindness. Orchids thrive on neglect. Good Luck.
