Why are the flowers falling off my orchid?

i've had an orchid plant for almost 3 months and it has been very healthy up until yesterday. in the last 24 hours 3 flowers have fallen off. is there a reason for this?

Why are the flowers falling off my orchid?
3 months is the normal length for blooms to last on an orchid. They should have naturally started to shrivel, turn brown and fall off like any other bloom after it has run its course.
Reply:Orchid bloom does not last forever and it is natural for the flowers eventually to wither and drop off.

If the flowers are relatively new, it is possible that they were "pollinated". This can happen if you touch the center of the blossom.

I hate it when little kids go through our greenhouse and stick their little sticky fingers inside orchid flowers.

Most likely your plant is just doing what it is supposed to.

See source for how to care for orchids in your home.
Reply:It has most likely finished flowering for this season and will not flower again until next year.
Reply:Maybe you have put extra dose of fertilizer and there was not enough water in the pot.
