How to save a dying orchid?

my orchid has begun to die... :-( I'd like to try and save it... does anyone know how to go about it?

How to save a dying orchid?
keep it in the bathroom..,.they seem to liven up with the hot steam from the shower...good luck
Reply:Too much watering will kill it. Let it dry out in between waterings if that is what is happening. They like semi mild sunlight.

They live best in marble stones or wood chips rather than dirt.
Reply:If it has root rot you are watering it too much. If not it would probably benefit from some extra humidity. Try placing it on a tray of water with some pebbles in it. The pebbles keep the pot elevated above the water in the tray preventing it from getting water logged.

Something else you might want to try is if you have had it for a long time, many orchids will start to do poorly if the bark they are growing in starts to decompose. You could try removing it from its pot, removing the old potting media, and replacing it with new bark.
