Newbie just bought a Phalaenopsis orchid...?

I got it from Lowes. It appears healthy and is in flower. I want to repot it in my hanging planter, but I read it's not a good idea to repot while it's in flower. Considering that it appears to have been in this pot for a year already (the date on the tag reads 4-18-07), should I go ahead and repot now?

Also, does it matter if I use orchid bark or sphagnum moss to pot it in?

Will it do well on my porch in full shade? It's humid and hot here in Louisiana.

Thanks!

No - wait until the bloom is gone unless you want to sacrifice it. In another month or so, the flowers will wilt and die. Repot then.

Don't pot directly into your hanging planter. Put it into a new pot with fresh medium and then put the pot into the planter.
